The maximum possible final temperature depends on many factors. They include the product (heating pad, foot warmer, heating underblanket, electric blanket), its design (with or without automatic switch-off) and the room temperature.
It is only possible to give average temperatures measured under standardised conditions at a room temperature of 20 °C (+/- 5 °C).
Different measurement conditions are defined for every product.
This means that the individual values cannot be compared.
- Heating pads: 70℃ - 75℃
- Heating underblankets: 60°C - 65°C
- Electric blankets: 40℃ - 50℃
- Footwarmers: 45°C - 50°C
Depending on the model, how it is used and the ambient temperature it may take up to 15 minutes after it is switched on at the highest setting before the product (heating pad, electric blanket or footwarmer) feels warm. The maximum end temperature is reached after about 30 minutes. Footwarmers can be placed on carpet or similar insulating objects for faster heating.
Depending on the model of hating underblanket and the environmental conditions (room temperature, mattress, bed covering), it may take up to 30 minutes after it is switched on at the highest setting before the heating underblanket feels warm. The heating underblanket must be completely covered at all times to prevent heat dissipation. The maximum end temperature is reached after about 60 minutes at the earliest.
